Seminars Computational Science

The Kitsune Research Project is a series of seminars created by students of various faculties of Università La Sapienza of Rome, and organized in collaboration with the SMFN Faculty, the I3S Faculty, and the INFN (Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare). Our objective is to give students a more detailed approach to computational science and scientific programming, that can be useful both during an academic and a working career. The project consists in a series of seminars spanning from September to December 2018, which aim to give a good understanding of the methods currently in use in computational science, often with a focus on the mathematical foundations of the methods illustrated (eg elliptical curves in cryptography).
The project also has a laboratory in Via Cesare De Lollis 20, the Ronin-lab, which includes all the material needed for both analog and digital electronics, and a four-node cluster used for scientific computing with 10Tb of storage available installed, configured and created independently by members of the lab (at the moment accessible locally, in the near future accessible via internet).
The list of seminars is available on our website and social media.
