2019 BMW Summer School

2019 BMW Summer School, organized by Eurécom, TU Munich and the BMW Group.

For the 7th time in a row PhD students and young scientists have the opportunity to gather in Southern Bavaria for a multidisciplinary and international exchange on the future mobility.

From July 15 to July 20, there will be keynote speeches and workshops focusing on "Artificial Intelligence and Urban Living".

We are soliciting original poster contributions from international PhD students and young researchers with a keen interest in shaping the future of individual mobility. Topics addressed are latest trends in artificial intelligence and the challenges and opportunities of its application to urban mobility and urban life.

We will be looking into autonomous systems, next generation mobility and communication, urbanization and smart city solutions, emotion awareness and affective computing, machine learning for demand prediction and personalized recommender systems, data analysis for smart city traffic management, passenger psychology, privacy and consciousness, human mind and ethics of artificial intelligence, new business models and economic benefits driven by advances in artificial intelligence, societal challenges of automation and algorithmic control.

The BMW Summer School is encouraging interdisciplinary discussion and therefore calls for contributions from all areas - from computer science to electrical engineering, from economics to law, from sociology to psychology and philosophy.

Participants may expect exciting presentations and workshops from academia and industry;
